Day 99: Short and Sweet.

seanfit1973

Tonight's reflection is a small one as I am tired. I don't know whether I have been overdoing it with the exercises but today my routine went out of the window. I did start well, with getting up and doing the Joe Wicks exercises, but the second half of the session went from 30 seconds exercise and 30 seconds rest, to 40 seconds exercise and 20 seconds rest. It's amazing how long those ten seconds can seem!

I have done a lot of reading today, but no writing. I will probably do a little bit once I get into bed, but not as much as I normally would. I have, though, cleaned the house from top to bottom so that is something, I haven't simply sat around all day and done nothing, which is sometimes what I want to do.

Being indoors all day is also tiring and sometimes little things can fray the nerves of yourself and the people you live with so trying to keep arguments down and making sure the kids are occupied and that you are supporting the other half is exhausting, especially when sometimes you feel like you can do nothing right and that nothing seems to go to plan. That's been today.

Haven't done much more than that, really. I had a lot down on my list, but the trouble with lists is that if you miss some things, sometimes you simply give in, especially if you're tired. Therefore I intend to have a nice lie in tomorrow, if my body will let me. I have been waking up a lot during the night and also having a lot of trouble getting to sleep and staying there and, from the little I have read, it is something called sleep paralysis, where the anxiety and stress stops sleep. The other version I read is that it is sleep without moving and you wake up stiff and not having rested. Either way, I'm tired.

Anyway, that is my reflection today. I am certainly grateful for still having the people I love around me and being safe. I am grateful for having things to do to occupy my mind and I am also grateful for having somewhere safe to live. I hope you are all safe and doing well.

Until tomorrow...stay strong and stay safe.

Thanks for reading.

Sean.
