Day 272: Still Busy.

seanfit1973

Only a paragraph or two tonight as I am still working and I want to go to bed at some point.

It is my final day of running for Cancer Research tomorrow, after 30 days and 61 miles of running. I have enjoyed it...to an extent, but I am really looking forward to not having to run for a few days after tomorrow. It will be nice to wake up and to simply go downstairs and make myself a cup of tea. Then, once I have had a few days off I will resume running, giving myself a break at the weekend. I am hoping to improve my 5k time and also begin to train for a marathon. This will, hopefully, also help with my weight loss journey.

However, no journey is complete without ensuring that my food consumption is conducive to a healthier lifestyle and the loss of fat around my mid-section. Also, the additional loss of my moobs would also be an added bonus. The emergency timetable has not helped because, if I have to keep someone behind to talk to them, this then leaves me very little time to have anything to eat. This results in a higher likelihood of me eating rubbish when I get in from school. Thankfully, we have rid our house of most rubbish food, but there is still crisps, which is my weakness. I need to be stronger on this score.

I am still trying to cut out the carbs and I am certainly not eating anywhere near as many carbs as I used to, but I still think I am eating far too many for a weight loss journey. I'll keep trying and keep working on it but breaking an over 40 year habit is hard and will take time. Thankfully, that is something I have.

I am looking forward to tomorrow being over and I also hope that the day is more restful. Here's to that. So until then, stay strong and stay safe.

Thanks for reading.

Sean.
