Day 27: Time and Time Again.

seanfit1973

Why does the 48 hours of a weekend seem to go in 4? Why does it sometimes seem like you have an abundance of time on some days and then none (sometimes less than none) on others?

When I first started blogging and reading and supporting people on healthunlocked.com, and reading articles on the internet and in magazines, I seemed to have a lot more time than I do now. I even wrote a blog on how time consuming losing weight actually is, so I'm not going to go through everything I have to do all day every day again.

However, I have noticed that some days I seem to have more time than others; some days I have no time...or so it seems. But we can always make time if we wish to. That's why I always find myself wondering if I'm going to have time to write this blog, and always find it. That's why I always think I won't have time to write down all my meals in MyFitnessPal, but ways manage it. That's why I always think I won't have any time left to write on healthunlocked.com, but still do.

Time, then, is relative to the importance of the thing you are doing. If you think that it is important then you will always find time to do it, whether you think there is time or not. That's why there have been so many times where I think that I will not write this as I have other, more important and pressing things to do and yet I still do. This blog has become an important part of my healthy lifestyle...a healthy mind.

Here, I can reflect on things that are playing on my mind and think of ways to overcome them and, with people reading this, hopefully helping them too. It's a way of making sure I'm honest with myself and reflecting on wins and losses in my quest, my campaign, for a healthier me.

And so I find the time. I will always find the time to do what I want if it is important enough. I will make the choice to keep reflecting, keep going in the right direction, keep being honest with myself and keep exercising.

Therefore, tomorrow, I will put this to the test. It is always a busy day on a Tuesday and I want to start the couch to 5k this week, so I'll see tomorrow how important doing that really is. I'll either find the time, or I won't. Whatever the outcome, I will reflect on the next stage in my evolution from fat to fit and the thought processes that helped me to do it or hindered me.

Time is the most precious commodity we have and we need to spend it wisely.

Thanks for reading.

Stay strong and stay honest.

Sean.
