A very short one tonight as I have left it late due to school work, which I have only just finished and I am, because of my cold, a little tired. I will admit that running this morning was horrible the first mile and I actually felt quite good during the second mile. I know I am a lot fitter since I started running and, hopefully (if this cold ever lets up) I am going to up it to three miles a day from day 20, in 4 days time.
I have been good all day in terms of eating and being healthy and I feel now that I am beginning to get my stamina and motivation back to keep going. Although my cough and runny nose and sore throat are a hindrance, I am still managing to feel a lot better than when I was back eating rubbish, so there is a lesson for me to think about and remember in the future should I start back down the wrong road again.
Hopefully tonight will bring a better night's sleep and then I can begin to win this war with my snotty nose and start getting back to feeling good again. Why is it that every year, for 17 years, I get a cold the instant I walk back into a school after the summer holidays?
And that is my reflection for the day. Time for rest and a bit of sleep.
Until tomorrow, stay strong and stay safe.
Thanks for reading.
Sean.
