Day 25: ill.

So it seems my body doesn't like me today. I have a huge cramp in my neck and it hurts all the way down my back. I've put up with it all day but it just won't go away, so I've decided to have an early night and see if it's better in the morning.


Why am I telling you this...because this is pretty much the blog for today as I don't feel well enough for a long reflection. But I did say honesty is the best policy, so...


My meals and exercise for the day.

Breakfast: a hot cross bun with butter: 214 calories.

Lunch: chicken and bacon half baguette with cheese and spinach with a latte: 487 calories.

Evening meal: steak and ale pie, mash, peas, cabbage, broccoli and reduced salt gravy: 910 calories

Additions: 2 beers: 528 calories.

Exercise: 17, 570 steps.

Total calories: 2139.


I've not been great today and I knew I would be eating regularly, but I have done a lot of steps to compensate. I know I am going to do better tomorrow and I did do the extra steps because I knew I would be kid free today and it would be a 'date day/night' for my wife and I.


Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and won't be in as much pain as I am now. Going to try and go for a run next week also. Wish me luck.

Hi Rosie, I have it and started it at one point last year but time got the better of me...at least that's what I told myself. Will be trying to start it again this week, so long as my neck feels strong enough.

Good luck! Have you tried the NHS couch to five k app?. It's really great. In fact, I've been saying since new year I'm going to start again, so maybe this week is the week. Hope you feel better soon.
