Day 238: Nice Flux Day.

seanfit1973

Today has been a good day, even though I may well have gone over my calories. I woke early this morning and did a two mile run instead of a mile run, in preparation for the September 2 miles a day runs, I have done about 13,000 steps and also done a TBP video exercise to end the day. Additionally, up until this evening when I went out for dinner, I have been eating healthily and sensibly. And I am already seeing a difference.

The food I had at my friends will have to wait for another day, as he was ill and so therefore I also have had no alcohol, as I would surely have had had I gone. However, that doesn't let me off the hook as far as calories are concerned. Instead, to mark our daughter's first day at school, my wife decided that she could have a meal of her choice, and obviously she chose Macdonalds. I would say I protested, but I didn't. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would have eaten and drunk just as many calories tonight, had I gone out with my friend. So therefore I don't feel that bad. I was about 750 calories over my 1530 allowance, but that still only takes me to 2314 calories for the day.

However, this also means that my muscles will have fat stores to use to repair muscles, as the flux day is there for.

Tomorrow is another day and I feel that I have been doing brilliantly this week and I will continue to get up and run, come home and do my TBP video and eat healthily whenever I can - which is 99% of the time. It is also nice knowing that I am in competition with the wife and so I think I will win this week and she will be waiting on me hand and foot on Saturday...although she would probably say she does that anyway!

Days have been flying past recently and it doesn't seem like 6 months since I was last in Schoo actually teaching. I am looking forward to the kids coming back, although I am also apprehensive because of Covid and also because things are in no way going to be normal. I have a lot of talking to non English specialists tomorrow, so hopefully that will give me some more steps for the day.

I am absolutely still loving life, loving the exercises and also loving the journey. Hopefully you are also loving the life getting healthy and in to shape. Keep going, no matter how many falls you have, simply pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again. Success is about never staying down.

Until tomorrow, stay strong and stay safe.

Thanks for reading.

Sean.
