Day 165: Back Again.

seanfit1973

Having had a weekend of fun and frolics and celebrations, this morning marked the starting again of strictly watching my calories and making sure that I exercise as much as possible. I must say that waking up on Saturday to the news that I had lost another 3lbs was a great reward for the hard work I had put in over the week. Now, though, I know that I have to work hard in order to make sure that I lose at least something this week. I don't mind a maintain week, or even a very small loss...but what I don't want is the weekend to be too much for me to rectify.

Don't get me wrong, I in no way feel guilty for the weekend, I thoroughly enjoyed the birthday celebrations and not having to constantly look over my shoulder at the calories I was consuming and the drink I was having. I know that I ate far too much, but as a once in a while thing I think it was ok to let go.

So here I am, back again. The exercises this morning was great and very tiring; I chose a really hard or an advanced one so that I could really work up my heart rate. It was only afterwards that I remembered that if I raise my heart rate too much I am simply getting fitter, I am not optimally reducing or getting rid of my body's fat. I need to make sure that my heart rate stays in the fat burning zone, even if this means I don't really feel like I have done an awful lot.

I enjoyed my breakfast this morning and also my lunch, which consisted of something I like to call 'Mediterranean Crackers' - it actually has nothing to do with the Med, but it sounds good and looks really summery, hence the name. I am also looking forward to some kind of chicken dinner, with saffron on it, which the wife is cooking!

So there is my short 'I'm back' post. Hopefully the week will fly by and I can see how I have done during the week and then I can see if the week's hard work will actually pay off.

Until tomorrow, stay strong and stay safe.

Thanks for reading.

Sean.
