Day 16: Time.

seanfit1973

For the first time today I noticed that I looked a little less fat, I felt a little more energised, a little less grumpy. Maybe this healthy lifestyle thing really works...but God does it take some time.

I wake up and have to finish work I didn't complete the night before, make pack ups, do breakfast, go to work, tutoring, cleaning, marking, planning...and that's just the normal stuff.

The healthy eating and healthier lifestyle has also meant additional things I'm trying to keep up to date with. Reading and replying to people's stories on healthunlocked.com, looking for recipes on the internet and trying them out, writing down things I've eaten on my app of choice (MyFitnessPal), thinking about, planning and writing the blog: the list seems to go on.

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying doing it, but thinking about and applying a healthier lifestyle and trying to support others takes time. Time I always thought I was short of.

However, it turns out I simply have to work smarter...and that's the same for the healthier lifestyle.

You have to give yourself time to find things out, to find the balance that's right for you. You have to find that time to wall a little further or exercise. You have to find time to reflect on your day and how much or little you've had, the battles you've won or lost. It's a constant consumation of time and effort but I have to believe that it'll be worth it in the end.

This blog takes time and effort, and sometimes I really don't want to, but I make sure I do because I need to reflect on my day, my thoughts and try to share things that have worked and things that don't to help others on their journey as well as help me on mine too.

It's been a very tiring day but I've enjoyed thinking about time today, and how I spend it. It's amazing how much time you can spend on your phone without knowing it, or zoning out. I've found I've used my phone more and zoned out more if I'm tired ot hungry, and this uses time. But I suppose this is nothing new.

But it has made me realise that I need to keep up my energy levels throughout the day and watch the time between eating.

So take time for you, to reflect, use time smarter and make it work for you so you do have time to exercise, make that breakfast, do that extra job...

Thanks for reading.

Stay strong.

Sean.
