Today I am going back to normal for a short blog on my day and how my journey has been. It takes a long time to do the research on certain topics and find articles on it, read them and review the information. I shall do some more next week as lots of people seem to have found them interesting.
As for today, I have had a good day, walking my 14,000 steps, having found a lovely, healthy lunch and spending time reading a writing. There really is not a lot to do or talk about a day that is basically the same as every other day. There is nothing really different in what I did yesterday. It is nice though, that I have managed to find different ways to exercise. The videos I have been watching have been making me sweat a lot and raise my heart rate. I worked out to teambodycoach ultra 20, which is essentially 4x20 second workouts without a break and then 20 seconds of break before doing it again with different exercises. The last rep of this was everything without any breaks. I would not be being honest if I didn't say I wasn't exhausted by the end of it.
The lunch I had was essentially a mackerel salad mixed in with coleslaw. There was a lot of colour in it and a lot of salad variation and, although I was not looking forward to eating it (from past experiences of salads being rather bland) I actually found that it was very tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will admit that I am getting a little wearied of the same four walls, so I may try something different tomorrow to try and take my mind off it.
Having looked in the mirror again today, I still don't like the way I look, but I can see that there is a slight difference and I am happy about that. I have to keep telling myself that it is a slow process and it will take time. I will probably reread some of the articles on motivation later to keep me going. I don't think that any of the articles took into account a global pandemic and being in lockdown.
But hey, there will always be something to be grateful for. Talking of which...
Today I am grateful for shopping trips that can take me out the house for a few hours; I am grateful for the sun, because at least I can enjoy my garden during these days; lastly I am grateful for Disney+, because I absolutely love the Mandalorian.
Until tomorrow, stay strong and stay safe.
Thanks for reading.
Sean.
